Being a mother to a 3 year old with autism, I can honestly say that I know how it feels to walk this autism journey. It comes with a lot of ups and downs, uncertainties, isolation, scrutiny, judgment, you name it, and the list goes on. One thing I wish I found more of was acceptance. Not only for my autistic son, but for me as well! To me, it doesn’t seem like the issue is that people are not aware of autism, but it is more of the fact that there is a lack of acceptance of people with autism and their family.
There are many support groups full of resources and great people and I am not trying to step on anyones toes. My goal is to create a platform were Autism Acceptance is at the forefront along with Inclusion, Support and Love! As the old proverb states…
It takes a village to raise a child
It most definitely takes a village, acceptance, support, and love to walk this journey of autism. Please consider joining us on this journey at Avery’s Autism Acceptance Club as we accept, support, love, and learn from one another! Subscribe to Avery’s Autism Acceptance Club below.
