1400 Miles to Destiny – Part 3 –

Part 3

It wasn’t until December of 2012 that we both received the revelation that the reason why the other relationships we pursued were not working is because God ordained for us to be together. So my love and I started talking in a more serious level and began long distance dating.

In March 0f 2013 I flew over 1400 miles to Texas to meet him face to face for the first time. When you know…. you know. While standing at the airport waiting for my luggage to come around on the turn style, I saw the most handsome chocolatey teddy bear, built man, with cute dimples, and warm eyes standing off to the side. My first thought was he is so fine. I motioned for him to come closer. My luggage finally came around and he reached for the luggage. I asked him how do you know those are mine. His response “You know when you know.”

My week in Texas was absolutely a dream. We went sight seeing and spent time with some of the family. I didn’t open a door ever on my own. He paid for everything and if I wanted to spend my money I could, but I did not have to. I was treated like a beautiful Queen by this amazing King.

This was the first time in my life that I could allow the man to be the man. Allow him to do the things that men are supposed to do. I was able to let go of my independent ways and be submissive to him. I didn’t mind allowing him to lead us. For once in my life it was nice to be cherished by someone who saw my true worth. He treated me like a precious jewel. He guarded my heart’s special secrets and didn’t hold them against me. In fact, that made him love me even more because I trusted him.

You have a sense of freedom when you are with someone who knows your worth and cherishes you, speaks life into you, guards your heart and safely trusts in you.

Esther was indeed, discovered by her King. While in your singleness, have you ever struggled with allowing the man to lead? How did you handle the matters of your heart when you met your mate?

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU!
