Riding The Waves of Emotions

We as women are emotional creatures. Sometimes we’ll ride the roller coaster of our emotions. However, we must be careful how fast, how turbulent, and how often we get on that roller coaster. Our emotions will lead us places that we’re not always ready to go. When lead to these places, what we usually find is trouble.  Often, we realize that certain actions lead to consequences. Consequences that we may not have to deal with if we would have stopped to either pray or think first.

What emotions are leading you?  Or are you being lead by God? The definition of emotions is a conscious mental reaction (such as anger or fear) subjectively experienced as a strong feeling usually directed toward a specific object and typically accompanied by physiological and behavioral changes in the body or mood. Wow, isn’t it amazing that our emotions have so much power, and it’s a conscience action or decision that we make. We make the choice to allow our feelings to take over our moods, make changes in our bodies, and even change our atmosphere.

Ladies, God has promised that He will leave us with his peace. We have to trust him in every circumstance. We must be led by Him. Ultimately allowing Him to lead our emotions. God says if  we trust Him, He will give us peace in all circumstances no matter what. Too often we are drifted up and down by a wave of emotions, and we go wherever those emotions drift us. Sisters, it’s time to land, it’s time to be planted, rooted in the word of God and trusting Him to understand us in all circumstances. Are you trusting in God or your emotions?

Philippians 4:6 ESV

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU!

Are you trusting in God or your emotions?
